Booking Corporate Event Entertainment

When companies are looking to book entertainment for their corporate event, there are a number of things to consider.  One overlooked factor is the company culture.  The business environment is a driving force in what can often be a work hard, play hard atmosphere at some companies.  Other companies have a much more strict business setting and the culture allows for very little change.   You need to be totally clear about the culture of the company, so that when you go looking for entertainment you can choose the type that will fit into the atmosphere at the company or look for something that is completely opposite the company culture.  For example, if the company is very process driven and focused only on business, then perhaps a comedian or magician would be a nice change for the corporate event or holiday party.  At the same time, if the company has a laid back attitude, then you might want to go with something more neutral like a band or celebrity impersonator.  If the company is looking to really make a splash at the event, they may want to up the ante by hiring a real celebrity performance.  I often get contacted by companies that are known for being big, slow, bureaucratic, and not all that exciting.  The person I talk to at the company is usually desperate for something to show their employees that they can let their hair down and have a great time.  A surprise celebrity performance can be just the ticket to boosting employee morale and productivity.  After all, when employees feel great about the company they work for, it shows through in their performance.  These examples are not limited to employee events only, as many corporations find it to be just as valuable to invest in these types of events with entertainment to enhance their relationships with their customers.  Few things show customers that you appreciate their business like a well structured event.  The bond you create with people at events cannot be duplicated with any other form of marketing, and that is always a good investment.
